Key Supporters
An important group that has helped to promote the translation of research findings to policy has been the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care (ACSQHC). Key pieces of work that are relevant to the work of NCAS have been the development of the national accreditation standards for hospitals and the clinical care standards for antimicrobial stewardship, and a publication outlining recommendations for antimicrobial stewardship in hospitals. The ACSQHC has also been a key supporter of the National Antimicrobial Prescribing Survey (NAPS), which forms part of the Antimicrobial Use and Resistance in Australia (AURA) program.
